Ready to join a mission that matters?
The future of cybersecurity starts with you.
The Role
Our mission is to make all of our customers’ security-relevant data continuously available for automated detection and response, threat hunting, and other Falcon use cases. To enable this, the systems behind NG-SIEM are growing to accommodate >100 PB of event and action data ingested every day, up to 10 years of retention, and dozens of millions of queries per hour across large sections of the data stored.
As a new Senior Engineer on the Log Scale Search team you will be responsible for delivering this scale to customers by developing new features as well as improving existing functionality. You will be joining a distributed team of highly collaborative engineers who share a strong passion for the product. In this role you will get a chance to work on hard engineering problems that do not have well-defined solutions.
You will become one of the go-to experts of the Log Scale, and will have a broad understanding of the entire Log Scale architecture.
Teams in Log Scale have a great amount of autonomy, and own a part of the Log Scale experience, from ideation and development to deployment and feedback. This includes ensuring high quality of the features they deliver, by writing automated tests, and performing manual tests. Moreover, we do not just throw over features to our operations teams, but we constantly observe and monitor new features in production, with Log Scale dashboards of course.
An important part of our work is making sure that Log Scale continues to be scalable in terms of efficiently ingesting and digesting events, querying for the right data, while also ensuring the stability of the clusters.
This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.
