Overview

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). As a member of the UC organization, you will support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

As a senior SDE on the pre‑silicon team, you will be responsible for driving the pre‑silicon hardware/software co‑development for our machine learning chips. You will work with architecture, design and emulation teams to build and test our next generation AI chips, and write bare‑metal software and ML workloads to verify the end‑to‑end functionality and performance of the SoC.

• Drive pre‑silicon hardware/software co‑development for machine learning chips.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, and emulation teams to build and test next‑generation AI chips.
• Write bare‑metal software and machine‑learning workloads to verify end‑to‑end functionality and performance of the SoC.

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Knowledge of hardware/software interfaces and computer architecture.
• Proficiency in programming in C/C++, scripting in Bash/Python.
• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms.

• Knowledge of low‑level software such as firmware and device drivers.
• Knowledge of SoC architecture.
• Knowledge of IO (PCIe, AXI), Memory (HBM, DDR), CPU architecture and interconnects.
