Manager, Engineering (Auctane, Inc. (fka , Inc.); Austin, Texas):
Managing and leading a team of software engineers. Technical Leadership – guide technical direction and provide technical oversight for the team. Product Direction – understand business needs, have scoping and tradeoff conversations with product managers and engineers. Product Delivery – drive the sprint cycle, apply project management skills, and remove blockers. Process – define and refine processes for the team based on team needs and outcomes.

Coach – mentor, guide, and provide career guidance for software engineers. Lead the team in all phases of planning, developing and delivering product features, in accordance to our engineering standards. Hold team accountable to work quality and timelines. Contribute or review technical designs. Own overall architectural decisions. Ensure code reviews are conducted thoughtfully and routinely. Write code. Partner with Product Management to inform long term product directions and roadmaps.

Supervise 8 direct reports. Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.

Salary: $217,568 – $245,833 per year

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

Experience Requirements:
Five (5) years of experience in the position offered or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following: managing engineering individual contributors;.NET, Angular, React, and AWS or Azure;
Agile development methodologies; working in legacy code environments; E-commerce or shipping;
Cloud-based software development and deployment; continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines;
Software architecture and design; delivering web-based software; monitoring and supporting web-based software in production; leading and managing a software team; managing and configuring Security and BOT rules in Web Application Firewall (Imperva or Akamai); and building Cloud Infrastructure using Terraform Code.
