Role Description The Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer will design, build, and deploy advanced AI models and systems that support Data Dolphin’s data-driven products and client solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing machine learning and deep learning models, implementing production-grade AI pipelines, and collaborating with data engineers and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into applications and services. The role involves researching and experimenting with new algorithms and architectures, conducting model evaluations, and improving system performance and reliability.

The engineer will also mentor teammates, contribute to technical standards, and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-quality coding practices.
• Expertise in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with experience designing, training, and scaling machine learning and deep learning models.
• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), including modern transformer-based architectures and text-processing pipelines.
• Proficiency with common ML frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, PyTorch, Tensor Flow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face) and cloud platforms for deploying AI solutions.
• Experience building end-to-end AI systems: data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead AI/ML role, including mentoring and guiding other engineers, is strongly beneficial.
