Job Details:Purpose
The Space and Geophysics Laboratory (SGL) delivers multi-platform software suites to government customers for multiple and varied applications, from real-time data-intensive network operations to standalone remote field systems, in both Linux and Windows environments. We are seeking a developer with a solid understanding of object-oriented design, databases, and data structures to join our team. As a member of the team you will be designing, implementing and maintaining software using C++.
Responsibilities- Provide detailed software design in a team environment
- Perform implementation from detailed design
- Perform unit, regression, and integration testing as appropriate
- Create/maintain application documentation
- Other related functions as assigned
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other applied science.
- Three or more years of experience as a C++ developer in a Linux environment.
- Experience with Python and the Numpy / Scipy stacks.
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Ability to debug software at all stages of development life cycle.
- Experience in Object-Oriented design and multi-threaded programming.

Preferred Qualifications- Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics
- Eight or more years professional experience as a software developer
- Experience with database application development
- Eight or more years developing C++ applications
- Demonstrated experience with object-oriented design and methodologies
- Experience with cloud services (AWS)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Salary Range$104,000-$174,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
