ABOUT THE ROLE

You are an experienced developer who can update, enhance, refactor, and expand the Vertalo platform, and who can also help implement it at the clients and partners the commercial team brings in.

You work across the production transfer agency and tokenization stack rather than on isolated features, because the hard problems in this domain live in the seams: multi-class cap table state, settlement reconciliation across on-chain and off-chain positions, and compliance logic that has to hold under regulatory scrutiny.

Your mandate is tied directly to our software development manifesto, "AI via API for RWA". The headline deliverable is a write-capable MCP server, scoped to one issuer flow end to end and gated by a human confirmation on every call that changes the record.

That manifesto argues that a well-typed, AI-readable platform collapses what used to be a six-month integration into weeks, and that the firms whose interfaces are structured well enough to benefit will take the developer relationship incumbents have left uncontested. Delivering on it means:

• Typed SDKs in the languages institutional clients actually use:
  Type Script, Python, Java, and C#.
• Clean GraphQL and webhook interfaces exposing the platform.
• Reference applications and AI scaffolding that let clients and partners build on Vertalo rather than merely with it.
• A sandbox carrying production-scale data.

The aim is a platform whose interfaces are built from the ground up for AI-assisted and agentic development, so that nine years of production transfer agency knowledge becomes navigable by the client developers and AI agents building the next wave of tokenized markets.

• Senior-level production experience in a typed language, with API design as a first-class part of the work rather than an afterthought.
• Demonstrated fluency with agentic AI tooling in your own engineering practice.
• Financial infrastructure exposure is a strong preference: cap tables, settlement, custody, or regulated recordkeeping.
• Blockchain and distributed ledger experience, ideally including token standards on more than one chain.

$180,000 to $220,000 base plus equity, depending on experience. The 2026 senior blockchain and fintech engineering band runs $150,000 to $250,000 in base before equity. We sit inside it on cash, with equity carrying the rest.

Vertalo is an SEC-registered digital transfer agent and tokenization platform, and the company behind Agentic Tokenization and Transfer Agency: an API-first system in which AI agents, working through the Vertalo MCP server, carry out the issuance, transfer, and recordkeeping that has always depended on specialist humans and slow point-to-point integrations. The MCP server is working today, in controlled pilot with early adopters.

Vertalo is all-in on AI, used across the company rather than in marketing or in a single feature. Every role carries an AI mandate inside its own discipline.
