Job Duties:
Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.37761)

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:

1. 6 years of experience designing, developing, and operating large scale distributed production systems (1000+ server instances), including high availability and scalability considerations;

2. Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, or Go, with object-oriented design and development;

3. Deliver products and with the full software development lifecycle in Linux systems;

4. Distributed systems architecture, including fault tolerance, data consistency, state management, and asynchronous processing;

5. Design and development of cloud-based services using public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure;

6. Database technologies including relational databases (SQL) and No

SQL or distributed data stores, and caching technologies Redis or Memcache;

7. Design and development of multi-tenant, highly available cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture;

8. Implementation of secure software systems, including authentication, authorization, identity management using industry standards and technologies such as OAuth, SAML, JWT, and

role-based access control (RBAC);

9. Scalable data processing systems, including real-time or near real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis or other cloud-based data service; and,

10. Monitoring, logging, and observability for large scale production systems using tools such as Cloud Watch, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
