Modernization Developer

Our client is seeking a Application Modernization Developer to join their team. As a Application Modernization Developer, you will be part of the Application Development Department supporting modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Modernization Developer

Location: Austin, TX

• Analyze legacy applications and design modernization paths such as refactoring, rebuilding, or replatforming.

• Develop updated components using modern languages, frameworks, and architectural patterns.

• Improve existing APIs, integrations, and data flows to meet current standards.

• Enhance system performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with architects, Dev Ops, and modernization teams to deliver end-to-end upgrades.

• Experience in application modernization or legacy system transformation.

• Strong hands‑on development skills in Java, .NET, Node, or Python.

• Understanding of modern architectures such as microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑ready design.

• Ability to work with legacy systems including old frameworks, monoliths, on‑prem infrastructure, and old API layers.

• Good debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
