Field Data Collection Driver – Central Texas (3‑Month Contract)

Location: Austin, Round Rock, San Marcos Region

Schedule: 40+ hrs/week – Day, Night, & Weekend shifts (with notice)

We’re hiring Field Data Collection Drivers to support next‑generation mapping and advanced data‑collection initiatives across Central Texas.

• Hands‑on work with advanced in‑vehicle technology
• Daily driving on preplanned routes across Central Texas
• Opportunities for overtime
• Occasional travel for training (including out of state)
• Be part of a project pushing real‑world technology innovation

• Safely operate a company‑provided vehicle on public roads
• Drive assigned routes to support mapping and data collection
• Perform daily vehicle inspections before each shift
• Follow structured driving, logging, and data‑collection procedures
• Run basic system checks and calibrations on equipment (training included)
• Monitor in‑vehicle systems during data runs
• Coordinate routes and schedules with operations teams
• Transfer collected data following documented protocols
  
  Assist with basic equipment setup, resets, and troubleshooting
• Clearly document and report issues in a timely manner

• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Clean driving record (MVR + background check required)
• Ability to drive 6‑8 hours per day
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
• Can lift up to 25 lbs
• Basic computer and technical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn new tools, devices, and processes

• Field operations or route‑based work
• Delivery driving or rideshare experience
• Familiarity with in‑vehicle systems or electronics
• Interest in mapping, geospatial tech, or automotive technology

You’ll operate primarily within the Austin‑Round Rock‑San Marcos region, with occasional long‑distance driving as needed.

Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay range: $28.00‑$28.00/hr.
