As a logistics driver, you will safely perform vehicle recovery and towing operations on public roadways, operating flatbed equipment with a combined gross vehicle weight between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds (current flatbed GVWR: 20,000 pounds). Ensure all vehicles and cargo are properly secured and transported efficiently. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and equipment, and maintain full compliance with DOT regulations.
Communicate clearly and promptly with dispatch and ground support to ensure smooth operations. Utilize advanced flatbed towing techniques, including winching, skating, snatch blocking, shimmy off-loading, and other complex recovery procedures. Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and hours-of-service logs. Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as refueling, oil changes, tire checks, and minor repairs. Work closely with logistics teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a safe, reliable, and positive customer experience
- Valid basic Class C driver’s license is required High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Physical ability to exit/enter vehicle multiple times a day and lift 35 pounds
- Meet DOT physical and medical requirements as necessary
- Must pass a background check and drug testing requirements
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Ability to operate large and heavy vehicles with high degree of attention, skill, and dexterity 2+ years proven towing experience with flatbed driving preferred
- Must be flexible on work hours
- Hands on approach to get the job done
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and adjust to provide a great customer experience
