Responsibilities
The Yard Crew is responsible for material handling including moving, cleaning and storing materials, as well as assisting with delivering, installing, and manning traffic control activities (lane closures, construction barricade set‑ups, special event logistics, etc.). Successful candidates will ensure that plans are followed correctly; work is completed accurately and on‑time while following appropriate safety protocols; and that the customer is satisfied with the overall work product.
EssentialFunctions
- Assist customers and/or drivers with loading and unloading materials
- Knowledge of traffic control set up and material requirements
- Ability to layout jobs correctly
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and protocols
- Operate a forklift in a warehouse environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment
- Ability to walk long distances consistently
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts
- Ability to communicate clearly
This job operates in an outdoor non‑climate controlled and/or warehouse environment. Members of the Yard Crew routinely use standard tools, machinery, specific industry materials as well as frequently drive or ride in a flatbed work truck.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position frequently performs manual labor in a non-climate controlled outdoor and/or warehouse environment which may be extremely warm or cold dependent on external environmental conditions.
This is a full-time non‑exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 a.m. to 12 on Saturday; shifts may vary depending on workload.
TravelSome local daytime travel may be required in company vehicle.
