Position Overview
As a part of our dedicated team, CDL Drivers operate a Site One vehicle to deliver landscape, nursery, forestry, and irrigation products to customers. CDL Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trucks and working with teammates to ensure the branch operates successfully. This position includes the use of in-vehicle dash cameras to ensure safety. Dash cameras are designed to enhance job performance, driver and public safety, and provide assistance in critical situations.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Operate vehicle in accordance with local, state and federal transportation regulations
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to all Site One customers
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with customers
- Assist customers with questions and needs, in person or over the phone
- Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to positively impact business performance
- Assist with other branch responsibilities as needed
- Do not obstruct or interfere with in-vehicle dash cameras, which must remain on during working time. Cameras may be turned off during off-duty time.
- Adhere to all Site One safety and security protocols, including use of in-vehicle dash cameras.
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Experience operating a Manual shift may be preferred
- Experience operating a Moffett or other truck-mounted forklift may be preferred
- Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records
- Ability to perform physical requirements such as bending, lifting, stretching and reaching daily
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
