The Medical Equipment Driver meets routine transportation needs by loading, transporting, unloading, delivering, or installing various medical equipment and supplies to our hospital partners, using a company-provided van. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, possible overnights, and some weekends. Because there is no set schedule, days and hours will vary based on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities- Load, transport, and unload medical equipment and supplies to regional medical facilities in a safe and timely manner.
- Run meets to exchange equipment with other employees at designated locations, including the surrounding states.
- Drive the company van safely, lawfully, and professionally.
- Respond promptly to acknowledge assignments or communication from management with scheduling needs and changes.
- Ensure proper storage of all equipment and supplies.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early morning, extended days, and the potential for evening or overnight and weekend travel.
- Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with no major violations.
- Ability to read maps or GPS.
- Ability to push/pull/manipulate over 50 pounds of medical equipment.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills, representing For Tec with a high degree of professionalism.
- Knowledge of smartphone applications, emails, and text messages.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
