Bobtail Driver

The Bobtail Driver is to deliver gasoline and/or diesel in large quantities while operating a vehicle efficiently and safely while maintaining the company’s standards for excellent customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities Operate bobtail tanker in a safe manner

Load, transport and deliver gasoline to and from specific locations while obeying all federal, state and local laws related to commercial hazmat transportation

Provide excellent customer service in a professional and ethical manner

Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation

Maintain daily driving logs to record miles driven and number of stops

Accurately complete daily delivery paperwork

Must abide by all company performance policies including driver safety and delivery accuracy

Minimum Qualifications Class A or B commercial license with hazmat, tanker and airbrakes endorsement

Clean driving record

Flexibility to be a TEAM PLAYER and participate in efforts that are needed to benefit the company and accomplish unscheduled necessary projects and tasks

License and vehicle to drive to and from work Willingness to work a flexible schedule to best serve the customer

Ability to work full shifts including flex weekend schedule if necessary

Required Skills/Abilities Solid judgement along with decision making skills

Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers

Physical Requirements Maneuver hoses weighing up to 50 pounds overhead to deliver product

Repetitive climbing in and out of vehicle as well as occasional climbing of stairs/ladders

Repetitive squatting and bending for removal of drop and vapor lids weighing up to 20 pounds

Must be able to travel frequently

Prolonged periods of sitting
