Warehouse Agent - Air Cargo; AUB

Job Opening

Air General, a third‑generation, family‑owned, national cargo handling company, is looking for a full‑time Warehouse Agent – Air Cargo at our Austin‑Bergstrom International Airport (AUB) location in Austin, TX.

• Responsible for moving air cargo within designated warehouses.
• Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
• Build up cargo for outbound flights.
• Break down cargo from import flights.
• Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semi trucks.
• May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.
• May transport cargo to and from aircraft driving, 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicles with attached carts through congested areas. Reading "off‑load" sheets to determine the destination of cargo.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.
• Must be able to pass all pre‑employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post‑offer drug screens.
• Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to handle stress in a high‑noise fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Some travel may be required for airline specific training.
