Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will help ensure accurate inventory control, timely shipment and receipt of goods, and a safe, organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory levels
- Audit and verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy
- Safely operate warehouse equipment (including forklift/hi-lo after certification)
- Use barcode scanners and shipping systems (e.g., UPS) accurately
- Load outbound shipments and verify products against shipping documentation
- Unload incoming materials, verify quantities, and store in proper locations
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse space
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation is followed
- Stage, label, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery
- Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures (including OSHA requirements)
- Support general warehouse operations and continuous improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 months of related warehouse or logistics experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using standard units and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Occasional climbing, balancing, and sitting
- Strong visual abilities, including depth perception and close/distance vision
- Warehouse setting with exposure to moving machinery
