Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will help ensure accurate inventory control, timely shipment and receipt of goods, and a safe, organized warehouse environment.

• Assist with cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory levels
• Audit and verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy
• Safely operate warehouse equipment (including forklift/hi-lo after certification)
• Use barcode scanners and shipping systems (e.g., UPS) accurately
• Load outbound shipments and verify products against shipping documentation
• Unload incoming materials, verify quantities, and store in proper locations
• Maintain organized and clean warehouse space
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation is followed
• Stage, label, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery
• Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures (including OSHA requirements)
• Support general warehouse operations and continuous improvement initiatives

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–3 months of related warehouse or logistics experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using standard units and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment
• Commitment to safety and quality standards

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Occasional climbing, balancing, and sitting
• Strong visual abilities, including depth perception and close/distance vision
• Warehouse setting with exposure to moving machinery
