Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for maintaining operational excellence in a warehouse environment? As a Warehouse Supervisor at Alliance Ground International (AGI), you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a team and ensure the smooth handling of cargo.

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, and dispatching of cargo.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines and operational goals.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure proper documentation of cargo movements.
• Monitor and maintain the functionality of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless cargo handling and delivery.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare operational reports and updates for management.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment by recognizing team contributions.

Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods in a warehouse environment; lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds; work in varying temperatures and weather conditions; and be flexible to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and related tools.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States (Immigration Reform Act of 1986) or Canada (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of 2001).
