Material Control Specialist

The Material Control Specialist I ensures proper handling, storage, and transport of raw materials inventory and in-process product. The role maintains transactional inventory accuracy, performs stock rotations according to standard operating procedures, and handles daily tasks within warehouse areas.

• Data entry of all SAP and Max transactions related to the receiving and movement of raw material inventory.
• Pull all needed raw and in-process materials required by the company in a timely fashion.
• Utilize FEFO/FIFO practices.
• Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures.
• Keep work areas organized, storing materials to preserve their integrity.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through periodic physical counting of materials.
• Assist with material returns in accordance with company Quality, Purchasing, Financial and Manufacturing standards.
• Remove expired materials from stock.
• Transfer needed materials to production or other storage locations timely.
• Operate forklift.
• Drive company minitruck.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SAP/MAX or other material management software preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) & Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Forklift certification preferred; on-site training available.
• Must meet requirements to be an authorized driver of company insured vehicles.
