The AHFH ReStore Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, processing and pricing donated merchandise in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures timely movement of goods to the sales floor, provides excellent donor service and supports store operations.

• Acts as a role model within and outside the Agency
• Adheres to Agency policy and procedures

• Works in collaboration with supervisor and staff to implement organizational strategic goals
• Demonstrates self-motivation, flexibility and efficient time management

• Provide exceptional customer and donor service; greet donors and issue receipts
• Adheres to all organizational safety policies and procedures, including OSHA guidelines, and actively contributes to maintaining a safe warehouse environment.
• Safely unload donations and operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, dollies).
• Sort, process and price merchandise according to company standards; identify high-value and recyclable items.
• Maintain accurate donation records and oversee recycling bins
• Ensure merchandise is expedited to the sales floor promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and perform housekeeping duties
• Comply with all security and organizational policies.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Cross train and assist in other store functions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED; or 4 years of related experience
• Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, donation center, construction, or retail environment
• Experience safely handling, moving, and staging furniture, appliances, or building materials
• Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or hand trucks

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is required to spend the majority of the day on their feet; required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls.

They will reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.
