Warehouse Assistant

Overview

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming material, picking, filling orders from inventory, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving material in the warehouse. The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse environment.

• Shipping & Receiving Duties (45%):
  • Ensure that items are correctly and securely packed for shipment.
  • Prepare shipping labels and documents for outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with the delivery team for timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Receive, unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Check received goods against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
  • Efficiently pick and pack orders according to established procedures.
• Inventory Management and General Warehouse Duties (45%):
  • Organize and maintain inventory and project storage in an orderly manner.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Utilize space efficiently and maximize storage capacity.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks responsibly.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Other duties as assigned (10%).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.

• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills with the warehouse team and other departments.

Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and potential dust.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and stand for extended periods of time.
