Job Title
Under the supervision of the school principal, or designee, the certificated teacher is responsible for the instruction of students assigned including the progress of students toward standards of expected achievement, the instructional techniques and strategies to be utilized, the adherence to district established curricular objectives and the established and maintenance of a suitable learning environment. Teachers are responsible for the performance of such other duties as required to support the instructional program, the welfare of students within the school system and the teaching profession.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Education:
High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or State High School Proficiency certificate. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Three years of work experience directly related to the subject being taught. Licenses and Other Requirements:
Valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Credential in Building and Construction Trades, or Valid California Single Subject Credential in Industrial and Technology Education;
English Learner (EL) Authorization. Valid California driver's license; when driving for work, maintain automobile liability insurance in accordance with California Insurance Code section 11580.1 or maintain other statutorially authorized financial responsibility. Enrollment in the California Department of Motor Vehicles Government Employer Pull Notice Program at time of hire and throughout employment with the Superintendent.
