Recess Monitor – Saint Joseph Parish School, Avon Lake, Ohio.

Saint Joseph Parish School, a faith-filled Catholic school serving Preschool through Grade 8, is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Recess Monitor to join our school community. The Recess Monitor helps provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students during lunch and recess while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

• Supervise students during lunch and recess.
• Promote safe play and positive social interactions among students.
• Encourage respectful behavior and assist students in resolving minor conflicts appropriately.
• Monitor student safety and communicate concerns to school staff as needed.
• Help maintain a welcoming, orderly, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Model Christian values, kindness, and respect in all interactions.
• Support the mission and values of Saint Joseph Parish School.

• Enjoy working with children and helping them succeed socially and emotionally.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive, and nurturing demeanor.
• Ability to supervise groups of students and maintain a safe environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and staff.
• Prior experience working with children is preferred.
• Must complete diocesan background checks and VIRTUS Safe Environment training.

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
