Location: Avon Lake, OH
Pay Rate: $42.31+ per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite (5 Days per Week)
We are seeking an experienced PVT Engineer - Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS/Wiring) to support vehicle quality and manufacturing operations at a major automotive assembly plant in Avon Lake, Ohio.
In this role, you will serve as a key quality and engineering resource, helping identify, diagnose, and resolve complex vehicle electrical wiring issues that impact production, warranty performance, and customer satisfaction. You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development, and Technical teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve vehicle electrical wiring and EDS-related quality concerns
- Analyze warranty, production, and testing data to identify emerging issues
- Lead root cause investigations using 8D, A3, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies
- Implement containment and corrective actions to improve vehicle quality
- Support product launches, engineering changes, plant trials, and validation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce variability and improve manufacturing performance
- Present technical findings and quality updates to plant leadership
- Support diagnostics, testing, and issue resolution on the production floor
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, or Program Engineering within the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring systems and vehicle diagnostics
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Master's degree in Engineering
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
- Experience with circuit design and manufacturing engineering
