Precision Injection Mold Tooling Specialist

Your Day, Engineered for Impact At the start of your 7:00 a.m. shift, you open the ERP system to review the mold Preventative Maintenance plan and queue up jobs. You’ll move fluidly from the Bridgeport to the Surface Grinder, then to the Lathe, Cutoff Grinder, and Band Saw to manufacture and restore high‑precision components for injection molds, prototype molds, end-of-arm tooling, and fixtures.

You’ll program and run CNC equipment—leveraging Cimatron and Solidworks—and share your knowledge by coaching teammates on ONA EDM and HWACHEON CNC operations.

Blueprints (often as 3D solids) guide your work as you evaluate manufacturability, apply shop math, and fit components into robust production tooling and fixtures. You’ll disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds; create replacement parts for downed machines—sometimes with few or no prints; organize the tool room; and keep documentation current in the ERP. Collaboration with machinists and engineers is constant, while direction from the Tooling Manager and/or Engineering Director keeps priorities aligned.

What You’ll Tackle Build, repair, and prepare molds and tooling using both manual and CNC equipment.

Program and operate CNC machines (preference for Cimatron & Solidworks experience).Train others on CNC/EDM workflows (ONA EDM & HWACHEON CNC).Interpret engineering prints and 3D models to produce high-quality tooling.

Execute tooling component fabrication and assembly into production fixtures.

Maintain mold PM schedules and record all activity in the ERP.Support priority shifts with minimal oversight; partner with machinists/engineers to turn ideas into tools.

Education & Experience2‑year Technical Degree and/or8+ years of relevant experience.

Injection molding background preferred; related industries considered.

Experience coordinating tool room functions and personnel is a plus.

Comfort with drawing/model analysis (Cimatron, AutoCAD, Solidworks).Equivalent combinations of education and experience welcome.
