Make Precision Happen in Avon Lake Picture your day on the production floor in Avon Lake, Ohio. You arrive to a clean, well-run cell; before a single chip is cut, you check coolant, confirm oil levels, and verify air pressure. You scan the manufacturing order, review the bill of materials, routing, print, job layout, and any quality alerts. With everything in place, you bring the Acme Gridley multi-spindle automatic screw machine up to speed, dialing in settings to hit spec on the first piece and every piece after.

What You’ll DoOperate Acme Gridley multi-spindle automatic screw machines to manufacture precision components to specification.

Inspect coolant, oil level, and air pressure before operating the machine.

Use shop packages effectively: manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts.

Ensure only gages and tools in use are within calibration dates.

Run multiple machines at once as required by the routing.

Produce product to established quality standards; alert your direct supervisor if any non-conforming product is found.

Perform quality checks per the Inspection Record and related documents.

Request raw materials in a timely manner and follow all inventory accuracy procedures.

Practice safe work habits; report unsafe conditions to supervisory or safety team members.

Replace worn tools and use a bench grinder to sharpen tools.

Demonstrate respectful, professional behavior with all employees.

What You’ll Bring Experience operating multi-spindle screw machines or comparable production equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools and measuring instruments.

Commitment to product quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Consistency in following structured processes and maintaining accurate records.

Proactive mindset and flexibility in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant machining experience.
