Watteredge is looking for an experienced CNC Operator who takes pride in precision machining and producing high-quality parts. If you're skilled in CNC mills and lathes, enjoy solving machining challenges, and value quality craftsmanship, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production documentation.
- Work with X, Y, and Z axes, including 4th and 5thaxis machining.
- Change fixtures, tooling, inserts, and tooling offsets to ensure accurate setups.
- Understand and make necessary edits to G & M Codes, speeds, and feeds.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues.
- Maintain part tolerances and ensure finished components meet quality specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Knowledge of X, Y, Z, 4th, and 5th axis machining.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances and specifications.
- Working knowledge of G & M Codes, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
