Job Description
Full-time, year-round position to coordinate and manage internal communications and the activities of Institutional Communications/Community Relations.
Responsibilities- Assists in the production of internal promotional materials including all college publicity such as news releases, brochures, graduation program, annual reports, etc.
- Ensures continual sourcing of and generation of articles for the press.
- Updates and posts articles to the Daily Connection and the College website.
- Disseminates information to employees to ensure awareness of pertinent information including making information known to concerned faculty and staff.
- Coordinates and maintains special projects, e.g. creating and maintaining the Retiree Hall of Fame.
- Assists in the photography and videography needs for regular and special events using office camera equipment or smartphone applications.
- Uses social media platforms, such as Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Blue Sky, X, and You Tube, to disseminate information.
- Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
- Acts in accordance with local, state, and federal laws/regulations as well as College policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Educational:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an institutionally accredited organization in the area of marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, or related area required. - Experiential:
At least five (5) years full-time experience in positions where public relations and marketing activities have been an integral component is required. Event planning experience required. - Other:
Computer literacy skills required. Excellent oral, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.
