Job Description:
Full-time (9-month) faculty position to teach Introduction to Humanities, Humanities Survey 1, Humanities Survey 2 and other related courses. Primarily in-person courses with online components as part of load. Teaching assignments may be in Highlands, Hardee, or DeSoto counties. Position begins January 2027.

Requirements:Educational
Master's degree in a Humanities discipline (such as art, literature, theatre, music or philosophy) from a regionally-accredited institution (or a Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a Humanities discipline) required;
Doctorate preferred. Graduate-level coursework preferred in one or more of the following areas:
Theatre or Music.
Post-secondary teaching and distance learning experience strongly preferred. Related field experience highly desirable.
OtherReliable transportation for travel within the service district required.
