The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the transportation company. They will work with the Avon, Breckenridge and Denver Operations Managers, Assistant Operations Managers, and the CEO to adapt existing Peak 1 Express operations systems to maintain and develop the Peak 1 Express brand and continue the tradition of exceptional guest service that brand is built on.

Maintain a professional working relationship with all employees and customers.

• Hire and train a staff of shuttle drivers, transfer drivers and dispatchers
• Enforce Peak 1 Express policies and COVID safety regulations
• Maintain a complete understanding of and compliance with all regulations set forth by any governing agency (including but not limited to FMCSA, PUC, DOT, DIA, county governments)
• Facilitate communication between staff and management
• Provide verbal and written warnings to staff as well as hand out suspensions when necessary
• Develop long term strategies for increasing efficiency within Peak 1 Express
• Be able to fill in sales, dispatch and driving roles with reasonable efficiency and efficacy
• Address upset guests and guest service issues with the goal of turning each interaction into a happy return customer
• Coordinate and manage maintenance program for vehicles with senior operations staff, staff mechanics and outside providers
• Develop emergency protocols for all possible scenarios involving vehicle problems, guest issues, weather extremes, road closures, etc.
• Maintain a clean driving record – failure to do so could result in immediate termination
• Become proficient with all software and monitoring systems

• Prior management experience required
• Driving and dispatch experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to interact in a friendly and comfortable manner with potential vendors, guests, and employees via phone and in person
• Extremely detailed oriented
• Highly computer literate
• Team oriented
• Must be available for weekends and holidays
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Instill confidence and motivate drivers and dispatchers
• Clean driving record
