Accounts Payable Specialist

Company Summary

Our client is a privately owned company managing multiple residential properties and a commercial office building. They are a small, stable office team with a long-tenured staff and a hands-on, old school work environment focused on accuracy and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and ensure timely, accurate payments
  • Review and allocate invoices across multiple properties
  • Prepare handwritten checks using manual checkbooks
  • Maintain vendor records and W-9 documentation (~40 vendors)
  • Track receipts and apply expenses to the correct property
  • Use Rent Manager and Excel to record transactions
  • Apply discounts and verify invoice accuracy
  • Assist with light administrative duties (phones, mail/post office runs)
Qualifications
  • Accounts payable or bookkeeping experience required
  • Property management experience preferred (not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Comfortable with manual processes and handwritten checks, must have neat legible handwriting.
  • Basic Excel skills; experience with Rent Manager is a plus
  • Reliable and able to work independently in a small office setting
Pay Rate
  • $23 - $27 Hourly

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
