Job DescriptionLegere Group is seeking a Millwork Estimator to join our onsite team at our Avon, CT office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly motivated, and possesses strong communication skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within the millwork industry.
Responsibilities- Review and evaluate project cost estimates
- Prepare and submit bids for fabrication and installation
- Communicate with General Contractors and Architects regarding scope and requirements
- Perform take-offs for custom millwork and woodworking items
- Source materials and coordinate subcontractor pricing
- Prepare and price change orders for projects in progress
- Analyze and determine material and labor costs for each project
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of architectural drawings and cost estimation
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2+ years of estimating or related construction experience
- Experience in millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or finish carpentry preferred
