Position Title: Pre‑K Teacher
Qualifications- Must possess or be eligible for Connecticut State Department of Education certification that covers Pre‑K (112, 113)
- College or university degree with a concentration in early childhood education
- Bachelor degree preferred

CompensationIn accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the association and the Board of Education.

- Prepare instructional resources and assessments that support the delivery of the Avon Public Schools curriculum, particularly the Pre‑K disciplines.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, unit plans, and educational projects to ensure students’ academic development.
- Provide differentiated instructional strategies and assessment and/or modify the curriculum to meet the learning needs of students with structured learning plans (IEPs and 504s).
- Provide support to all learners who require additional help or guidance with academic problems and concepts.
- Conduct case management for students on IEPs and 504 plans.
- Other responsibilities as defined by the building principal or designee.
