Reports To / EvaluatorBuilding Principal and/or designee
CompensationAccording to the collective bargaining agreement between the association and the Board of Education.
Responsibilities- Prepare instructional resources and assessments that support delivery of the Avon Public School curriculum, particularly elementary disciplines.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, unit plans, and educational projects to ensure students’ academic development.
- Provide differentiated instructional strategies and assessments, and modify curriculum to meet the learning needs of students with structured learning plans (IEPs and 504s).
- Provide support to all learners requiring additional help or guidance with academic problems and concepts.
- Other duties as assigned by building principal or designee.
- Must possess or be eligible for Connecticut State Department of Education certification that covers elementary grades.
- Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in elementary education.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
