Job DescriptionAvon Public Schools – Position:
Teaching Assistant, AHS.
In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a positive, productive, and safe learning environment. Your primary focus will be supporting student success through small‑group supervision, providing classroom coverage when teachers are absent, and assisting with daily school operations.
Responsibilities- Provide supervision for students in individual and small groups in an alternate learning environment.
- Provide substitute coverage, as needed, for certified and non‑certified roles.
- Supervise students during lunch periods, hall transitions, and study halls to ensure safety and uphold school‑wide behavioral standards.
Terms of Employment: 35 hours a week, exclusive of a 30‑minute unpaid lunch; $20.60 per hour. No employee benefits are associated with this position.
