Job Duties- Set up and operate equipment used to drill and machine fiber optic preforms to print.
- Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including cleaning and servicing coolant tanks and filters.
- Complete tooling changeovers between different products.
- Inspect finished work against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintain accurate process and inspection data in company databases.
- Review process data to monitor process stability and product quality.
- Maintain appropriate tooling inventory.
- Operate multiple machines concurrently while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Support production rod draw requirements.
- Complete material transactions in JDE for completed work and accurately report scrap.
- Identify machine and process issues requiring Engineering or Maintenance support.
- Participate in the Total Preventative Maintenance program.
- Complete 6S activities and required audit documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow established safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Efficiently manage production priorities and move jobs through the workflow.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of CNC operation experience required.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of machine tools and precision gauges.
- Experience machining glass materials is preferred.
- Strong equipment and process troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of metrology and precision measurement.
- Understanding of geometric tolerancing.
- Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances, including ±0.0001″.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to understand manufacturing process layouts.
- Ability to write and follow manufacturing procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple jobs and production priorities effectively.
