Cook Supervisor

Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility with a 30 bed post-acute/rehab unit. Our Facility has an excellent reputation in the community and we are looking for caring persons to provide leadership and drive the quality care we are known for to our residents.

Includes every other weekend and every other holiday

$20-23/hr DOE

The successful candidate must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards to assure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Ideally, you should be able to work in a fast paced environment, be very detail oriented and work well under pressure.

40 hours per week including every other weekend and every other holiday. Must be able to work every other weekend.

$20-$23 /hour DOE

• Must be familiar with altered texture diets
• Must be comfortable supervising staff on some shifts
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff and government personnel.
• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions.
• Serv Safe is a plus!
• 1-2 years of cooking experience including scratch cooking and experience with purees.
• Communicate well.
• Work independently and as a team.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Director of Dietary Services.
