Responsibilities
- Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements, ensuring proper flow-down to internal departments.
- Develop control plans, inspection plans, datasheets, and FAI documentation packages.
- Support Method of Manufacturing (MoM) definition with focus on inspection gates and process controls.
- Support supplier qualification and supply chain quality activities.
- Define and optimize inspection methodologies, including dimensional and final inspections.
- Collaborate with production during machine setup, prototypes, and process validation phases.
- Manage non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Conduct process capability studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Support special process evaluations (heat treatment, NDT, coating, shot peening, superpolishing, etc.).
- Ensure inspection routines comply with customer and aerospace standards.
- Support audits and contribute to quality procedure development.
- Strong expertise in drawing interpretation, GD&T, and dimensional metrology.
- Deep understanding of CMM measurement systems and measurement uncertainty.
- Knowledge of MSA studies, PFMEA, process capability, and control plan development.
- Familiarity with aerospace special processes and material certifications.
- Basic understanding of NDT methods, heat treatment effects, and laboratory testing.
- Good analytical skills with Excel and preferably Minitab.
- Good command of English for technical discussions, meetings, and customer communication.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Background in Quality Engineering within aerospace, precision manufacturing, or metalworking industries.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain.
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable managing customer quality requirements in highly regulated environments.
