Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. As a Maintenance Mechanic you will ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting malfunctions, and collaborating with production personnel.
Job Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automation systems, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic systems
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles
- Install, configure, and calibrate automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other control devices
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions proactively
- Collaborate with production personnel and maintenance team members to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, such as lockout/tagout and arc‑flash safety, to maintain a safe working environment
- Document maintenance activities—including repairs, inspections, and preventive tasks—using CMMS or other record‑keeping tools
- Stay updated with advancements in automation technology, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, and hydraulic systems through ongoing training and professional development
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training in maintenance millwrighting
- Strong technical skills in automation systems, electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems
- Experience in welding
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and arc‑flash safety
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
