Job Description
We are a growing manufacturing company seeking a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting while implementing job cost and manufacturing cost accounting processes in Pro Shop ERP.
This is a hands-on role working directly in Pro Shop ERP and Quick Books, partnering with operations to ensure accurate costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
Manufacturing Cost Accounting- Lead the startup and implementation of Pro Shop ERP.
- Establish accurate job costing, WIP tracking, and inventory valuation.
- Ensure clean and accurate integration between Pro Shop and Quickbooks.
- Support pricing decisions with cost data.
- Develop practical costing and production reports for management.
- Maintain Quick Books general ledger.
- Support payroll processing and HR documentation as needed
- Record journal entries and reconcile accounts monthly.
- Oversee or perform AP / AR entry and bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end close and financial statements.
- Ensure accurate integration between Pro Shop and Quick Books.
- Improve costing accuracy, reporting, and financial visibility.
- Create simple, useful management reports (Excel-based).
- Prepare monthly financial and cost reports for ownership.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Support CPA firm during tax filings and reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–7+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of job costing and inventory accounting.
- Experience with Pro Shop ERP.
- Experience with Quick Books required.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Comfortable in a small business, hands-on environment.
- CPA or CMA
- Prior experience implementing or cleaning up cost accounting systems
