Advisor-Financial Expert

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join the CFO Regional Team in the role of Financial Expert Advisor.

Responsibilities

Under matrixed management responsibilities with the central pool of analysts managed by the Directors of Finance in Financial Services, this role creates executive-level reporting packages to communicate financial or other information on costs, prices, expenses, revenues, and various clinical and operational measures to make recommendations to senior management. The position analyzes diverse sets of data, including financial, operational, clinical, and economic, to support strategic and operational decisions while advising business units of financial performance and the impact of decisions, thinking broadly to other downstream outcomes from changes.

Serving as a trusted financial resource to operational leaders of the unit, the individual provides financial reporting and analysis, expense management, operational improvement, and the evaluation of growth opportunities. The role combines strong relationships, analysis, and risk‑conscious planning to ensure that the unit's plan is realized, interfacing with both leadership and front‑line team members to execute organizational development strategy and drive change initiatives across the unit.

The position partners with leadership teams to lead and direct both the long‑range financial planning process and the annual budget process, including both operating and capital. By analyzing complex financial data to drive operational improvement and utilizing subject‑matter expert knowledge in one or more key financial subject areas, the individual is accountable for accurate volume and expense planning as known at the time in assigned areas to support regional leaders in being able to hit goals.

Finally, the role requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members without having direct reports—effectively leading through influence.
