We are looking for compassionate caregivers to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can‑do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.
Join our dedicated team as a Care Professional at Home Instead in West Indianapolis, IN. In this rewarding role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care and support to clients in the comfort of their homes, enhancing their quality of life and promoting independence.
HOURS AVAILABLEDay Shift:
- Full‑Time: 8am – 5pm
- Part‑Time: 8am – 1pm
Mid‑Day Shift:
- Full‑Time: 1pm – 9pm
- Part‑Time: 12pm – 6pm
Evening Shift:
- Full‑Time: 3pm – 11pm
- Part‑Time: 5pm – 10pm
Some Overnights:
- Part‑Time: 10pm – 6am (x2 or x3 days a week)
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility support.
- Develop trusting relationships with clients and their families to understand their unique needs and preferences.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client well‑being.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and care plans to deliver consistent, high‑quality care.
- Provide personal care and companionship to seniors in their homes.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Help clients with mobility and light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor clients’ health and safety, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients’ emotional and social needs through conversation and participation in activities.
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Home Instead team to ensure quality care.
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients recovering from surgery, injury, or accident including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
- Help with mobility around the home or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them for shopping.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to reach clients’ homes within Indianapolis, IN, and daily reliable transportation.
- Background check and drug screening clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or experience as a caregiver.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Valid ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in‑home care environment (minimum 1 year).
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.

- Hoyer Lift experience (specific to client).
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.00 to $20.00, paid semi‑monthly.
