Manager of IT Cybersecurity

Overview

Hendricks Power Cooperative is seeking an experienced Manager of IT & Cybersecurity to play a key role in ensuring the security, reliability and integrity of the Cooperative’s network, distribution system and member data. Hendricks Power is a rural electric cooperative in Avon, Indiana that distributes electric service to over 40,000 members across four counties.

• Oversee daily IT operations
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives
• Support related employee education and drive technology implementation that enhances operational efficiency and strengthens security
• Provide leadership and technical direction to IT team
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures
• Manage data protection for all Cooperative subsidiaries and business units
• Keep employees current on cybersecurity awareness and safe technology practices
• Conduct risk assessments
• Maintain incident response and recovery plans
• Identify and manage software and system vulnerabilities
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Ensure projects align with organizational goals, timelines and budgets
• Collaborate across departments, demonstrate leadership, manage projects and foster a proactive security-minded culture

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, networking or cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Utility or electric cooperative experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Project management certification or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Physical ability to sit for extended periods in office environment
