Overview
The Shift Coordinator works closely with departmental associates to ensure productivity, accuracy, safety, and security standards are met. Responsibilities include assigning work tasks, monitoring progress, operating and maintaining WMS systems, balancing inventory, and managing communication across shifts.
Responsibilities- Understand how differing operating activities impact overall distribution center functioning.
- Use in‑house computer systems to track and monitor work activities.
- Prioritize and assign work tasks to achieve work goals.
- Communicate daily work goals to the team and coordinate against the defined action plan.
- Monitor associates’ performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Train associates according to the Preferred Methods and Procedures manual.
- Follow all Company, state, and OSHA safety rules, policies, and regulations.
- Report safety violations and potential violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
- Comply with all Company Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
- Maintain excellent attendance and set an example for other associates.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule and be available for any designated shift and overtime as requested.
- Provide high quality internal and external customer service per company standards.
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or menu‑driven applications, or ability to learn one.
- Effective problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and interest in cross‑training to other work areas.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with others in a team environment.

Working ConditionsModerate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand, sit, squat, lift, and walk for the duration of the scheduled shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- College degree or relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic math skills.
Starting base pay of $24.70–$26.45 per hour. Certain work schedules may also be eligible for shift differential pay.
