This is an 8-week assignment. Candidates must be aware and comfortable proceeding with their submission. First timers are accepted. Local candidates are not accepted. Floating within the facility is required. Candidates may float to other units or nearby facilities. Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours are available as per the shift schedule. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.
Average daily census is 28 patients. The unit comprises a total of 32 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac conditions, respiratory issues, neurological disorders, mental health concerns, and gastrointestinal conditions. Special procedures performed in the unit include cardioversions and 12-lead EKGs. Monitoring and management of various medication drips are also expected.
Additional required skills include management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, and wound care. Candidates should have proficiency in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing high-flow nasal cannula. This position involves a mix of direct patient care and technical responsibilities. Only candidates with the necessary qualifications will be considered.
