Adult Surgical Stepdown is a medical/surgical inpatient unit that focuses on providing care for adults who are either preparing for, or recovering from, a surgical procedure. Our patient population is mostly surgical patients including orthopedic, urology, OBGYN, and general surgery, but we also see medical patients with infections, wounds, and chronic health issues. Our mission is to provide all our patients with safe and quality care.

Our goal is to assist the patients in swift recovery and progression towards their baseline health.

Support from fellow team members, as well as a dedicated leadership team. We strive to have the family mentality-we are there for each other through the good and hard days.

Qualifications:

Greater than one year of RN experience. Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
