This position will work a hybrid schedule, (2-3 days in office per week) and will be based at Fairbanks Hall in Indianapolis, IN however travel throughout our system will be required as needed.

IU Health is seeking an innovative and strategic Social Media Manager to oversee our growing social media presence, lead a talented team, and shape how we engage patients, team members, job seekers, and communities across the state. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned social media professional who thrives on developing impactful content, driving engagement, identifying emerging trends, and building a forward-thinking strategy, including expanding our presence on platforms like Tik Tok.

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field required.
• Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience, which may include experience working as part of the media.
• Requires proven experience developing engaging news content, including the ability to seek out and form story ideas and sources.
• Requires knowledge of analytics and publishing tools, content, and visual management systems, and best in class customer service practices.
• Requires knowledge of written, video, and photo content development and best practices.
• Helps shape how great communications work gets done at IU Health—through team leadership and development, identifying and implementing best practices, and contributing to the standards and approaches that make the entire team stronger.

• Serves as the strategic lead for IU Health Social Media.
• Enhance the organization's reputation and brand awareness through team leadership, social media channel management and news delivery.
• Owns the overall planning, creation and performance of content across all social platforms, including through partnership with regional communicators.
• Translates complex topics into accessible content that supports community engagement and strengthens the system's brand.
• Identifies and implements the strategy to deliver relevant news and real-time community management.
• Develops relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and contributors.
• Delivers increased engagement, audience acquisition, and real-time community management.
• Maintains an ongoing knowledge of current events, news, trends and the changes occurring in social media.
