Education: High School Education is required. Must be willing to attend and complete training seminars to improve skills as directed by Director of Facilities.
Certification: Desirable but not required. Motivation should be sufficient to obtain certification through organizational or company programs.
Experience: Three or more years in one area with practical experience in several areas.
Skills and Knowledge: Experience in diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing boilers, chillers and associated controls is paramount. Experience working with and repairing VAVs, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing required. Must also have the ability to climb ladders and scaffolds. Must be willing to work weekends as needed. Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License at all times. Must be able to read and understand all instructions and manuals related to this position.
Other: Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.

Must have a neat and clean appearance.
Must be punctual, dependable, conscientious, and thorough.
Must have an appropriate assortment of hand tools and testing equipment.
Must either possess or be willing to obtain on his or her own, the necessary knowledge that is not provided through the school, the supplier or the installing contractor that would enable one to operate the corporation s computer controlled energy system.
Must have a valid Indiana Driver s License.
Must be willing to plow snow in the winter as required, in addition to regular duties.
Must be willing to work with building principals, teachers and custodians to achieve and maintain a good working atmosphere.
Must have knowledge required to schedule and perform routine maintenance on all mechanical equipment.
Must be adept at troubleshooting mechanical equipment with the aid of schematics or prints.
Must be able to recognize the potential for problems and resolve these problems before they occur.
Must keep accurate records on equipment requiring periodic maintenance or inspection.
Must be able to work without constant supervision.
Must acquaint themselves with the work order system and make necessary entries as required.
Participate in professional development, as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Primary Job FunctionsTo perform preventative maintenance, service, repair, design, renovations, estimates and installation of equipment and systems in our facilities. While completing these duties, good relationships should be maintained with the warehouse department, corporation personnel and the community, as well as projecting a genuine care and concern for all students. This position requires consistent attendance and punctuality as well as the capability to handle confidential information.
Salaryand Schedule
Salary Lane: Hourly pay starting at $26.25.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Assigned Workday Calendar: 260-261 days (Year-Round)
Job Status: Full-Time – 40 Hours per Week
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM– 3:30 PM
Benefits: Full-time positions are eligible for medical, dental insurance as well as supplemental benefits such as vision, life insurance, disability, etc. Eligible for PERF Retirement.
