Recently, we have expanded our impact to Monroe, Michigan and Avon, Ohio as well.

As individual needs change so do our care offerings-all while creating countless opportunities for physical wellness, spiritual connection, and social activities.

We have senior communities in Brooklyn Park, Corcoran, Shoreview, and Woodbury, Minnesota and in Monroe, Michigan. All of our locations are rich with thoughtful amenities and support. Our compassionate services also reach seniors living in the broader Twin Cities area through home care, outpatient therapies, and wellness programs.

Memory Care Resident Visitors Volunteers

provide consistent, supportive companionship to the residents of Saint Therese to support social interaction and enhance their day.

Responsibilities
  • Visit with our memory care residents, reminisce, and provide social interactions
  • Read to residents, write letters, and assist with other communication needs
  • Engage residents in other activities such as playing cards and going for walks
  • Provide consistent, supportive companionship to residents
Knowledge, Skill Or Abilities Required
  • Interest in developing ongoing relationships with senior residents
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to use technology such as iPads to facilitate reminiscence through images, maps, music, etc.
  • Self-directed and able to volunteer with minimal supervision
  • Able to push wheelchairs safely throughout the facility and property
  • Able to locate the resident’s name and room number to transport them back to their room
  • Have a good understanding of state laws protecting vulnerable adults and reporting mandates
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Able to follow infection prevention and control procedures to minimize risk of disease transmission and maintain health and safety of residents, staff and volunteers
  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
