Mill Machinist - 1st shift

Job Overview

CNC Set‑Up Operator in an aerospace manufacturing environment that supports major aircraft OEMs with lightweight, flame‑retardant foam materials. Salary: $20–$30 per hour.

• Set up and operate 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC mills and routers and other primary operation equipment.
• Lead new and existing program setups and support operators.
• Machine parts based on work orders, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Perform self‑inspection and process non‑conforming material per procedure.
• Set tooling and work offsets and adjust machining parameters.
• Troubleshoot routine machining or process issues and communicate trends.
• Track scrap, document issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

• 3–5 years of CNC milling experience.
• 1–2 years of CNC setup experience.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes.

• G‑code, M‑code, and other CNC programming comprehension.
• Proficient with calipers, height gauges, and precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and solid math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
