Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk for the 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm). This role involves staging raw materials, ensuring accurate documentation, and complying with safety protocols in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production schedules, formulas, batch sheets, and Bills of Lading.
• Pull and stage raw materials in the correct batch sequence using designated lot numbers.
• Accurately document lot numbers, weights, and material usage with zero errors.
• Open containers using manual and pneumatic tools such as can openers and knives.
• Return unused raw materials to proper storage locations.
• Follow all BRC, food safety, quality, and legal requirements.
• Complete all required training and demonstrate the ability to perform trained tasks.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
• Perform data entry in manufacturing and quality systems (QS/OEE).

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 month of related manufacturing or production experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures exactly.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) — accuracy is critical.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous food manufacturing experience.

Work Environment

This role operates in a GMP environment, requiring no jewelry, fake eyelashes, or piercings. The facility can be cold in certain areas, but jackets are provided. The floor is wet, but the space is well-lit and comfortable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
